Bernice
B. Cousins

| Bernice Cousins has been involved in metaphysics, art,
education, publishing and business for more than 40 years. As a writer,
administrator, teacher and lecturer, she has endeavored to apply
inspiration in confronting the day-to-day challenges faced by those
seeking to synthesize the creative and the practical, spiritual and
mundane, and to reconcile evolving spiritual awareness with the demand of
living in today’s world with greater personal freedom, expression and
fulfillment. Since 1988, Bernice has been an administrative co-director of the New York Star Center, The Center Without Walls, where she teaches basic through advanced levels of Actualism, and special focus seminars of the healing and reintegration of the fragmented self, women and spirituality, the Divine Feminine, and Death/Rebirth. From 1989 to 1998, Bernice served as a member of the Board of Directors of Actualism. In addition she has served as chairman of the Teaching Department and Creative Development. Bernice is now pioneering the teaching of Lightwork and metaphysics globally through her work on the Internet and her contributions to the Actualism web site, www.actualism.org. In addition to her involvement with the development of Actualism Lightwork training programs, Bernice as been actively involved with the United Nations in New York as a non-governmental (NGO) representative and participating member of several NGO committees including the Values Caucus, the Committee of Religious Organizations, United Religions Initiative (URI-UN), the Committee for Spiritual Values and Global Concerns (CSVGC-NY), and SEAT (Society for Enlightenment and Transformation). In September 2001, Bernice was a guest speaker for SEAT, where she introduced the group to an experience with the Devic Being who “overlights” the United Nations organization in New York. In May, 2008, Bernice was elected to the Executive Committee of the CSVGC-NY. She is a member of the Taskforce for the Week of Spirituality, Values and Global Concerns, commemorating the "Spirit of the UN - our commitment to making the Universal Declaration of Human Rights Come Alive", and serves the CSVGC-NY in the office of Corresponding Secretary. Bernice currently serves as the New York regional coordinator for Gather The Women organization. |
